It’s time to make a decision on a Christmas tree. We have an artificial one that is actually in fine shape, considering it’s been around for several years now. The problem is the size of the thing. Or, perhaps I should say, the girth.
Our house is a lot smaller than any other house we’ve lived in before. And last Christmas, trying to squeeze around the tree to get to the coat closet was interesting, to say the least. So, I’m thinking about getting one of those slim trees.
Or maybe I could get (gasp) a REAL tree this year!
That could cause a ruckus in my house.
What’s your preference? Real or fake? Why?

oooh get a skinny tree, that way when you have a really big house that I know you will someday, you can have two really cool and different trees!! Oh, and then buy some real wreaths so you have the smell in the house anyway
Real but I hate the mess so it’s fake.
Brenda, I like real ones myself, but SOMEBODY around here has fits about putting a real tree up. Turns into a regular Scrooge, he does. The year he used duct tape on the real Christmas tree to make it stay up was the year I went out and got us a fake one when they went on clearance when Christmas was over.
I love a real Noble Fir tree, but the price is ridiculous, so I have a 4 1/2 foot face prelit tree that shows off all my beautiful hand made decorations.
I wanted to get a skinny tree but couldn’t find one.
Get the skinny one!
Duct tape! That’s funny! Sorry, can’t help it.
Oh, I’m fake; like Phyl, the prices keep me that way.
We have a tall skinny tree… think it’s 7 a footer. We’ve always had an artificial. I can’t stand the thought of wasting a real tree. We won’t be putting it up this year because of the wild and crazy kitten.
Real one, short and skinny, cant afford the fake one I want! I want a 7′ prelit artificial one, but they are close to 250.00!!! yikes.
